- Truck started properly with no jump start necessary. Brought into the shop and verified that all positive and negative battery cable and starter connections are clean & secure. Individually charged and tested both batteries finding that they both test good. Scanned and found codes P0299 (turbo underboost) and P2509 (ECM/PCM power input signal intermittent) stored. Customer noted a check engine light had been coming and going randomly; this is likely due to the P0299 and should be diagnosed if the issue continues. The P2509 can be due to battery cables/connections, bad fuses/relays, PCM, or PCM wiring. Cables and connections are good, all fuses and relays test good as well……found no visual evidence of any damaged, corroded, or mouse chewed wiring. If the issue persists, the next logical repair would be to replace the intelligent power distribution center (fuse block assembly).
