    • Verified customer's complaint, then scanned for codes to find that there is a stored code for the liftgate latch circuit. Verified fuses, circuits, and connections. Used scan tool to command the liftgate power motor assembly up and down to find that it responds intermittently. Located a GM documented TSB that details this and recommends replacing the liftgate latch assembly before replacing the liftgate power control unit.
    • Removed, replaced, and programmed the latch assembly to find that the latch now functions as it should, but the power liftgate unit is intermittent at best. Removed trim panel for visual/physical inspection to find that the gears are worn and binding near the top and bottom of travel, which is engaging the safety cutout switch. Recommend replacing the liftgate power control unit as well.
    • Removed and replaced power liftgate control unit, programmed, and verified proper operation of all power liftgate function.

    • Transmission cooler lines are rusted through and leaking at the holders, no other obvious fluid leaks to note at this time. Transmission cooler looks to be okay at this time. Recommend replacing all 3 transmission oil cooler lines and degreasing.
    • Removed and replaced all 3 transmission oil cooler pipes. Verified proper fluid level.
    • Accessed and greased all greasable front end components.
    • Applied degreasing agent, cleaned engine bay and underbody of fluid from the leaking lines.

    • Rear tires are choppy and cause louder than normal road noise, only way to fix would be new tires. Did rotate from Left to Right.
    • Test drive, then remove and reinstall all four wheels and rear brake drums (as necessary) to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Lining remaining is: Front ( % ) Rear ( % ).

    • Listened to wheel bearings with stethoscope and found no audible signs of issues. Tone ring on wheel bearing is visually intact.
    • Performed service, checked and topped off all fluid levels and tire pressures. Reset oil life indicator. Thank you.
    • Performed alignment check, finding all adjustments within OEM specifications. Made minor adjustment to straighten the steering wheel. Test drove to ensure all repairs. Thank you.
