- Brought car in and checked fluid levels; engine oil was approximately 3 quarts low and fuel pressure is present with key on. Charged and tested battery, battery tests good. Verified fuel pressure. Starter has excessive draw. Removed serpentine belt to ensure that there are no seized pulleys…..turned crank pulley by hand to make sure that the engine is not seized. Cannot ensure that there is no further engine damage until we replace the starter and are able to turn the engine over rapidly enough to start.Recommend replacing the starter assembly and reinspecting for any other issues. Thank you.
- Removed and replaced starter assembly, topped off fluids, set tire pressures, and test drove and restarted multiple times to verify operation. TPMS light remains on, all tire pressures are proper.
