Services Performed
- Scanned and found codes stored for the evaporative emission vapor canister vent solenoid. Tested and verified that all related fuses are good. Accessed the solenoid to find that it has ground, but no power when commanded. Jumped voltage to the solenoid and verified that it works properly. Further inspection revealed that there is a broken wire at a harness junction. Recommend repairing the damaged section of wiring.
- Change engine oil & filter, check fluid levels, check lights, check wipers, grease suspension where applicable. Rotate tires, set pressures, and hand torque lug nuts.
- Reset oil life monitor and TPMS systems after service and tire rotation.
- No issues to note at this time.
- Accessed and removed damaged section of wiring for the vent valve. Ensured proper connection and weather sealed all sections of repaired wire. Cleared codes and performed verification test of the evaporative emission system to find no further issues at this time.
